The Shock Doctrine: The Rise of Disaster Capitalism by Naomi Klein

This is a BBC documentary that is based on Naomi Klein's book by the same name. It explains how people tend to accept new [or unconventional or downright nonsensical] ideas when they are subjected to what she calls: The Shock Doctrine. In her book, Naomi outlines the history of how crony capitalism forced its way into the mainstream economics which we accept as a norm these days.

From events in Chile to Russia, this documentary is quite revealing. A must watch, in my opinion.
